Greene County finished a dual meet in Story City Jan. 19 with wins over West Central Valley 43-30 and North Polk 49-27. They lost to the hosts, Roland-Story, 42-34. R-S won all three of its duals while WCV was 1-2 and NP 0-3.
Undefeated on the night were Cayden Gerdes (132), Brock Wuebker (170), Isaiah Yoder (182) and Hunter Ruth (220). Wuebker enjoyed a night with three falls.
Saturday, Jan. 21, the Rams battled for fourth place in the Heart of Iowa Conference tournament in Alleman, hosted by North Polk.

HOIC TOURNAMENT: Both seniors on the Greene County wrestling team brought home individual titles from the HOIC tournament Saturday.
Isaiah Yoder (182) and Hunter Ruth (220) won their weight class, combining for 50 team points.
PCM won the team championship but only by 10 points over Saydel 220-210. Gilbert was only 10.5 points behind in third place. Greene County took fourth with 130.
Cayden Gerdes placed second at 132-pounds; Garrett Tasler (106) and Isaac Ireland (152) were third.
